Outages

Severe weather and power outages happen. And we know it can be frustrating when that interrupts your Internet or TV service. That’s why we work to get you connected as quickly as possible. Check back here or on our Facebook page for updates on any outages or service issues occurring in your area.

Tips

  • Download the FEMA App to get alerts and warnings.
  • Make sure your cell phone is charged and you purchase backup charging devices to power electronics.
  • Plug your TV, Cable box, modem and/or router into a surge protector to protect them from damage in case lightning or a sudden power outage occurs.

Steps to Take After A Hurricane:

  • Listen to local officials for information and special instructions.
  • Do not touch electrical equipment if it is wet or if you are standing in water. If it is safe to do so, turn off electricity at the main breaker or fuse box to prevent electric shock.
  • Avoid wading in flood water, which can contain dangerous debris. Underground or downed power lines can also electrically charge the water. Save phone calls for emergencies. Phone systems are often down or busy after a disaster.
  • Document any property damage with photographs. Contact your insurance company for assistance.
